Both Mark and Chris have grown up with The Doncaster Youth Jazz Association. They still play with
the Doncaster Jazz Orchestra which from time to time reforms
for special events including major jazz festivals, local celebrations and recording projects.
The Doncaster Youth Jazz Association was founded by John
Ellis MBE (Mark's father) in 1973 and has grown to become one of the most important jazz centres in the country.
